** 두가지를 비교해 볼까요?


이것은 지금껏 우리가 써오던 Kabal의 FinderBar입니다.(지금은 삭제하고 없기에 예전의 스샷에서 오렸습니다.) 원하는 바로가기를 넣어두면 탐색이 편리해 집니다. 다만 이것을 설치하면, 탐색기의 폴더 트리뷰를 보실수 없습니다. 폴더 트리뷰를 이것으로 대체(?) 하는 것이니까요. 어떠한 방법으로 실행해도 FinderBar가 떠 있습니다. ^^;; 파인더바 안에 숏컷들을 놓는 것도 그렇게 쉽지 않습니다. 흠.. 어렵다기 보다는 귀찮다는 표현 정도가 적당하겠군요.




대충 보시기에도.. 상단부에.. Finderbar 그리고 닫기버튼(X)이 없어진 것을 보실수 있습니다. :) 특징은 이것 뿐만이 아닙니다. 앞서 언급했듯이 Kabal의 파인더바에서는 저 왼쪽 영역에 바로가기를 넣기가 매우 귀찮았지만, FInderXer 에서는 단순히 드래그 & 드랍으로 Shortcut을 넣고 뺄수 있습니다!!! 탐색기의 폴더 트리뷰도 물론 볼 수 있어요!

필요한 모튼 커스토마이징을 지원하고, 훨씬 간단하고 보기 쉬운 셋팅창을 가지고 있습니다.


게다가.. FinderBar를 설치하기 위해 필요했던 반드시 .NET Framework 가 필요하지 않습니다. 대신 Microsoft C RunTime Libraries for Visual Studio 2005 가 필요하긴 하지만요. (윈도우를 30메가 정도나 불려주는 .NET Framework와 4~5메가 정도밖에 되지 않는 C Runtime Libraries 중에 선택하라면 당연히 C 런타임 라이브러리를 택하겠습니다.)

한마디로 말하자면.. FindeXer 가 FinderBar 보다 좀 더 편리하고, 좀 더 낫다는 것입니다. 불필요한 상단 패널도 나오지 않고... 전 이것을 보자 마자 FinderBar를 지워버리고 설치했습니다!



** 설치방법은 생각보다 간단합니다. (제작자의 Readme.txt 파일에 더욱 자세히 나와 있습니다.)

1. 다운받은 프로그램 파일을 적당한 위치에 압축해제합니다. (C:\ProgrmaFiles\ 정도가 적당하겠군요.)
2. Microsoft C RunTime Libraries for Visual Studio 2005 를 설치합니다.
3. Register.bat 배치파일을 실행합니다. (에러가 발생하며 설치가 안되시는 분은 위 런타임 라이브러리가 설치되지 않았기 때문입니다.)
4. 윈도우를 재시작 합니다.


5. 위 그림처럼, 보기 - 탐색창 - FindeXer 를 선택합니다.

※ 주의 : Kabal's FinderBar 를 사용하시던 분은 FinderBar를 완전히 언인스톨 하신 후 설치하셔야 할겁니다. 레지스트리를 건드리기에, 레지스트리가 엉킬수도 있을테니까요. :)



** 다만.. 한가지 안타까운 문제가 있습니다.
제작자가 Readme 파일의 FAQ 에서 밝히고 있듯..

Q : "Why does FindeXer not Show Up by default when I open an Explorer Window"
A : I have tried to make a .reg file that will replace the Folders View with FindeXer. but my lack of knowledge and understanding of the Windows Registry, as well as the
lack of proper documentation - have always led to failure. If YOU can succeed in doing this, please let me know (Contact Information below) - A LOT of people are waiting
for that .reg file ;)

탐색기 실행시 FindeXer가 기본으로 뜨지 않는다는 것입니다. 언제나 보기 - 탐색 창 - FindeXer 를 클릭해야지만 나온다는 것이죠... 게다가 FindeXer를 열기 위한 단축키도 하나 없으니, Styler를 사용하시는 분은, 일부러 안나오게 만들어 버린 "파일 편집 보기 즐겨찾기 도구 도움말" 이라는 메뉴바를 다시 꺼내 놓고 사용해야 합니다.
풉.. 덕분에 있으나 마나 할지도 모르겠습니다. 제작자도 어떻게 해야 할지 모르겠데요.. 누군가가 방법을 알려주길 바라는데... 혹시 방법이 있을까요? 후후..

그 외에 Readme.txt의 To Do 부분을 보시면 무엇이 아직 부족하신지를 보실 수 있습니다.

어쨌든.. FindeXer가 기본으로 보이게 하는 방법을 찾아내지 못한다면......
역시, Kabal의 FinderBar를 사용할 수 밖에... :)

간략하게만 소개 하려고 했는데.. 쓰다 보니 불필요하게 내용이 길어졌네요. :)
아무튼.. 좀 더 업데이트 된 버젼이 빨리 나왔으면 좋겠습니다.

(제목은 맥 어쩌구 저쩌구 해 놓고.. 사용한 그림들은 비스타의 VS를 이용했으니.. 조금 아이러니 하군요.. ;D)
